Challenge

Unhappy at work?

When the job takes more out of you than it gives, and you are not even sure why. Before you decide anything, the problem needs a name. That is the first step, and it asks no decision of you yet.

Recognise this situation?

It cannot go on like this, but what exactly is it?

  • Sunday evening already feels like Monday.
  • You recover at the weekend, and two days later it is all back.
  • You cannot say exactly what is wrong, only that it cannot go on like this.
  • Quitting seems too big, staying too hard, and so nothing happens.

The Situation Review

Before anything is decided, the problem needs a name. One session, then a written assessment and a recommendation on whether a decision is due, a system would help, or neither.

If a sprint follows · CoreFrame 4D™

Four stages, if a sprint follows the Situation Review.

If the Situation Review shows that a decision is due or an area of life needs structure, the sprint that follows works by the method well-run organisations use for what matters. Structured conversations, work between sessions on both sides, and a written result you keep.

01DiagnoseWhat it really comes down to: the role, the manager, the company, the career, or something outside work. And what "better" would have to contain.
02DesignMore than putting up with it or quitting: reshaping the role, negotiating something, moving internally, a plan for later. Real options, properly worked out.
03DecideIf a decision is due, it is weighed against your priorities, your finances and your appetite for risk, and written down.
04DoA concrete plan for the next few weeks: which conversations, when, with what safeguards. And a check-in, so that it does not fizzle out again.
You take home

After every sprint a written result: depending on the path, a Decision Frame, a Decision Dossier or a System Blueprint, with a plan for the next steps.

Format

Per sprint, typically one to three 90-minute working sessions, online, plus work in between on both sides. You buy the result, not hours. A check-in within 30 days is included.

Stop at any time

End a sprint at any point and pay only for what was done by then, never the full fee without the deliverable. Half the fee is invoiced on confirmation and half with the deliverable; if a sprint ends earlier, the difference is settled as a refund or as a final invoice.

Why waiting rarely helps

The unease has no name yet

As long as it is unclear whether it is the role, the people, the career or something outside work, nothing can be changed on purpose. You hold on, recover at the weekend, and on Monday it is all back. The first piece of work is therefore to give the problem a name: what exactly is wrong, since when, and what "better" would have to contain. Only then does it show whether a decision is due, a structure is missing, or something else entirely.

Who you'd be working with

An advisor, not a coach

PhD, Global Executive MBA. I have advised organisations and leaders on high-stakes choices for over a dozen years and now bring the same methods to individuals at career and life crossroads. Structure, proven methods, and empathy. No hidden agenda, no upsell.

Questions people ask

I am not ready to decide. Is it too early?

No. Most decisions are hard because what is actually at stake has not been named yet, and that is where we start: what the question really is, what matters most, which directions are worth exploring. Nothing forces you to a choice at the end of it. Some people find the decision has become obvious on the way; others take the clarity and decide later, in their own time.

The Find Clarity sprint
How is this different from the free first conversation?

The first conversation is a chance to meet: 30 minutes to find out whether and how I can help. The Situation Review is already work on your situation. You answer a few questions beforehand, we take a whole session, and afterwards you receive a written assessment that is yours, whether anything follows or not.

Do I have to book a sprint after the Situation Review?

No. The Situation Review ends in a recommendation, and one of them can be that you need no sprint, or that another professional is the right one. If you do book one within six months, the CHF 190 is credited in full.

Is this coaching or therapy?

Neither. Therapy works on how you feel and where that comes from. Coaching works on habits, performance and goals. Here we work the problem itself: the facts, the options, what you value, the risks, and what each path would ask of you. The methods come from strategy, governance, risk management and decision analysis. If what you need is treatment or support with your mental health, that is another profession, and I say so.
